AIREF holds discussion with Union Railway Minister
On 30th October 2024, All India Railway Engineers Federation(AIREF) called on Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji and discussed about various demands at the Railway Board in New Delhi. Delegates from different parts of the country participated in the meeting under the leadership of Secretary General Er Bishnu Prasad Dash. President of East Coast Railway Engineers Association Er Bobin Mohanty from Bhubaneswar, Working President AIRE Er M K Pandey from Mumbai, Sr VP AIREF Er B. Sarith Kumar from Chennai and FSG AIRE Er S.K.Pandey from Lucknow were part of the delegation.
The discussion focused mainly on allowing Gr B Gaz status to SSEs at L 8 and Gr B NG status to JEs at L6 and SSEs at L7. The Railway Minister highly appreciated the role of railway engineers and realised the genuineness of the demands put forth before him and has promised to work on them.
Sri Ashok Kumar Shukla Ji and other leaders of Bharatiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh (BRMS) were also present during the meeting and they have also extended their support to the demands of Railway Engineers and requested Hon’ble MR to get them resolved at the earliest.
AIREF thanked the Railway Minister and the BRMS for fully agreeing to the demands placed by the Engineers.
